  • [Traitor Car] JT's Celica

No pictures yet as I haven't taken ownership just yet (will be sorted as soon as my GF has finished with the 306) but I'll add some in the next few weeks.

Currently it is a pretty much standard silver Toyota Celica 1.8 ST apart from a K&N induction kit

    Plans are:

    Veilside kit

Bigger alloys (comes with 14"s and huge profile tyres)

Double DIN stereo to replace my motorised one

Spoiler as it doesn't have one - makes it look odd! Any ideas on a suitable spoiler?

I don't know what is really available for them so my imagination here is limited! I'm open to ideas!

Finally got it today - much nicer to drive than the Corsa! Here are some quick pictures!

Its standard apart from an induction kit and after looking into modifications I doubt I will bother too much on this one, probably lower, spoiler, tint and alloys on the outside!, will just wait until I can afford a GT4 or Impreza

Cheers for the comments guys, I keep taking it out - any excuse lol

Upsetting to know I can see my Corsa sitting there but can't drive it (legally anyway)

Its a bit of a pain for us as the front has airbags which means the baby has to go in the back, the Recaro baby seat is quite large so it means a lot of fiddling around half hanging out the door. Few little bits need fixing - nothing major but things like the passenger side lock switch isn't working and the boot trim has come unclipped. Annoying thing is the boot is slightly too small for the pushchair chassis but we are awaiting delivery of a new one anyway as we want a small one for our holiday in May! Theres always the few little things you don't think about/test I guess!

Been out fitting my stereo in it - bit of a pain as I didn't have a clue how to get the dash apart! I found brute force was my friend lol

Also got my sub in there working, its wedged in between the rear seat and spare wheel pretty tight so the bass seems incredibly loud, had to turn it down as everything was vibrating and I'm not a chav!

Will get some more pics once I've given it a clean at the weekend

Just had a phone call from the GF, someones dented and scratched it (probably while parked up yesterday). Not a happy bunny!

Turns out it was the GF hitting our house that did it...

Her sis went into labour earlier and she was in a hurry to get to the hospital and musn't have realised. I've just been down and seen silver paint left down the wall. I haven't seen the dent yet but apparently its the whole rear passenger side panel and then a bit of the door

This is why I dont let my lass drive my car, instead I'm just trying to find one to buy her. I wont panick every time she is out...

Although I've never been a huge fan of them, its a nice looking car. Looks like a good base to start modifying.

The idea of the Celica was to cut down costs of 2 cars and have one nicer car that was cheaper than the 2 so I can't really stop her driving it!

Whats done is done I guess, I can now see my nice shiny new xbox 360 going back so I can pay for the repairs though

Have a go at painting it yourself, could save alot of money in the long run.
