Finally got myself another car.

It's a Land Rover Freelander XEDI 2.0 Diesel 5 Door

Just been on my first drive in it, I've only ever owned small cars (biggest being a Celica which is probably just as long but much lower) so it's quite new to me and seems like a tank. Parking is a nightmare as I can't see the bull bars and not sure how big the spare wheel on the back actually is

Not a fan of the noise of a diesel engine but I guess I'll get use to it. Also not a fan of the colour but it'll do for now!

It's got things like bull bars, air con, electric everything and hill descent control which is a nice feature that I will never ever use

Anyway, not much planned for it but here goes:

Fill it with ICE, it's got a massive boot that I won't use so it's begging for some subs

Black side steps

Headlight protectors

Mudflaps

2" raise

More aggressive tyres

Window tints

It'll probably never go off road but I'd like it to be semi capable should I want to mess about in a field

I think it's a turbo too, it'll cost a fair bit to run but I won't be driving it much to be honest, fuel efficiency has never been a thing I am very bothered about - I like killing trees

Will do, it was dark when I got home last night so didn't bother (I use my iPhone 3G for a camera and it's awful in the day, can't imagine how bad it would be at night...)

He's entitled to an opinion, even if he does put it across in the most ******** way possible. I don't think he likes me

Yeah lots of room for audio, it doesn't have a parcel shelf though (I think originally it had a roll out one) so I'll need to build one to cover everything over away from prying eyes. And it's classed as red on the V5, it's more of a burgundy. Some people like the colour - I don't...

Anyway it was a bargain at ?750, it's got a full service history, very well looked after. It has 4 wheels and an engine so will make seeing my kid and getting to meets much easier, even if the fuel costs me a lot to get there

Why am I pissing you off? I very rarely post derogatory remarks needlessly and I don't feel that I have posted one here either. If you are keeping tabs then maybe you should start a thread with all the remarks I've made that have 'pissed you off'.

And I didn't say his car was a pile of ****e, all Freelanders, in MY OPINION, are not to my taste. Maybe I could have said it a wee bit nicer but don't start kicking off unless you have reason to.

There are some right bloody idiots on this forum at the moment.

But anyway, will be interesting to see what is made of this Freelander, maybe my mind will be swayed in their favour.

I look forward to seeing some pics. Up is definitely the way to take 4x4s unlike little cars when all people want to do is lower them. Raised suspension and some nice chunky wheels

But if you're only planning on keeping it on the road and start crying when you get a spec of dust on it whilst doing the school run in Chelsea, then I wouldn't bother raising it Seems like you're more fussed about the audio anyway
