  • [Corsa B 1993-2000] BLACK 1,2 8v from Poland

    Hello from Poland!
Firstly, sorry for the mistakes in my language
I'm reading forum for a long time and now I've decided to describe my car here.

It's 1,2 8v (X12SZ) Corsa B from 1996. I'm working on it for 2,5 year, but first year was doing some repairs, like replacing old, cutted springs with new, stock ones, removing rust from the tailgate and reapiring front fender. Most work has been done over the past 1,5 years.

Here's how the car looked like shortly after purchase. Yep! There were flowers on the bonnet

    So, let's start the photostory.

Without flowers, on stock spring. The starting point for some modifications.

Painting front bumper with my mate.

With painted bumper, hood and with Depo headlights.

I decided to replace old steeringwheel with the after-lifting one.

I started this year with new set of wheels and -40mm Ta-Technix springs.

From the beginning I wanted to buy a GSi front bumper, but in Poland they are usually expensive. But one day I found a really cheap one in my town, and the next day it was mine
I bought it with original fog lights, but without lip and grille. As it turned out, GSi lip was more expensive than the whole bumper, but, such is life The fog lights are covered with yellow film and ther's done electric installation for them.

The most recent pics of actual setup, a day before changin wheels for winter ones.

This is how it looks now, winter setup

    Before/after comparison.

I still have a lot of plans for my Corsa. The biggest one is engine swap, but the problem is money. I'm thinking about 1,6 8v. Another idea is interior from Corsa GSi/Sport, but buying interior in good condition is almost impossible in Poland. I want to buy replicas of Steinterz sideskirts. And probably something more There is also a bit of bodywork repairs to be done under the car.

I'm waiting for your comments, opinions, etc. Cheers!

First off your English is actually really good so you have nothing to worry about there. I'm really liking how your car looks now. It's got a nice balance of being modified without being too much. Oh and welcome to the forum.

Good progress. Looks much better now! I don't like the yellow fog lights but I really like depos on black Corsas.

Aren't the yellow fog lights a European requirement?

No, they aren't. It's my own vision, that's all, but I don't know, if I won't remove film for the next year. We will see Thanks for positive comments!

Winter is over, so it's time for next ideas and works.

I found original pre-lift rear mudflaps, I think rear looks a lot of better now

And finally I found seats from GSI/Sport

Now it's time for some body work under the car, and then I'll put new seats into it

                    Cheers

It will be quite a bit quicker going from a 1.2 to a 1.6. I remember doing it in my old corsa and loved it.

Some new shots from my friend:
