  • [Traitor Car] Dave's Skyline R33 GTS-T RB25DET

    1998 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T RB25DET - 40th Anniversary Edition

    Current Mods:
    • HKS Front Mount Intercooler & Hard Pipe Kit
    • HKS Silent Power Exhaust
    • HKS FCON SZ Aftermarket ECU
    • HKS Green Pod Filter
    • Cusco Front & Rear Strut Braces
    • Defi Gauges (Water Temp, Boost, Oil Temp)
    • Defi Link Controller 2
    • Greddy Profec Type S Boost Controller
    • Greddy AutoTimer Turbo Time

    Details:
    • 61,000 Genuine miles (with a mileage warranty from the conversion)
    • Running between 300-320bhp
    • 2.5L Straight 6
    • Single Turbo (0.4bar on wastegate spring, 0.5bar on low boost, 0.85bar on high boost)
    • 1998 Model, 40th Anniversary, last of the R33's

    Issues to sort out:
    • May just be me but after the drive home it sounds abit like it has an exhaust blow somewhere at the front. Im not too worried, new exhaust is on the shopping list anyway.
    • Slight hesitation in 5th and on full throttle at 4krpm. Half throttle in 5th is fine, and full throttle in other gears is fine. This isnt an issue either really, as you dont plant your foot at 4k in 5th really, you drop to 4th and plant it, then when you change to 5th you're past 4krpm and it doesnt matter. So not a deal breaker, but does need looking at, i suspect it's something to do with either the map, as its running the aftermarket ecu atm, or it could be related tot he exhaust blow if that exists.

Mods planned (in no particular order):
    • Rota Grid Drifts in dark purple, 18x9's
    • Coilovers (Probably BC Racing, or D2)
    • GTR Front Bumper
    • GTR or Abflug Skirts
    • 400R Rear Bumper and spats
    • GTR rear spoiler
    • +25mm Front Vented Wings
    • Wind Deflectors
    • Steering Wheel
    • Flocked Dash
    • Japspeed Exhaust with a DeCat and screamer pipe
    • Sort audio out. Fit sub and amp, and new headunit/speakers that I've bought already
    • Re-locate the Boost Controller and Turbo Timer from in the ash tray, mount under dash neatly most probably.
    • Light Up LED Skyline Rear Panel
    • HID's
    • Work on headlights some more to get them clearer looking
    • 20% tint on front windows

The power is great, it's obviously far more powerful than anything I've ever owned or driven, the MR2 was the fastest, with 176Bhp, this has around 320Bhp, I plan to take it to 450Bhp. The power now is crazy, you hear 300 odd brake thrown around a lot online, so it sort of becomes normal, but tbh, its not normal at all... haha, i've not been in any other car that pulls like this, and it was in the wettest conditions ever today, I can't wait for a dry road on a hot sticky day, holy crap.

Some quick pics from today, didnt take many, it was raining the whole damn time, lol... I'm off to germany in a day so wont get to take any good ones before then, There will be lots taken at the ring though. Then once I'm back, it's fukcin project time *****es!

I've still got it, couldnt put it on as it would have taken an extra 5 days registering it. I'll put it on when I get back from Germany

      Love you too man <3

Solid mount haha.. It might be raining, in which case it'll be on the inside, but I'd rather it on the outside. Or the roof...

                      Gauges are nice and dramatic!
I bet there's a market for crazy JDM head units... Some Honda fanboy will probably pay a fortune for it.
