  • [Corsa C 2000-2006] 1.7DTi Elegence - Project Mira

    Hi Guys,

This is my latest purchase (its been a while - 11 years since my last project), am still waiting to collect as it failed its MOT due to a broken coil so the dealer is sorting that and should collect tomorrow, and I paid a lot less than the board in the window lol

    ]"]Photo Storage

Current plans are a change of interior (vents, console etc)
    set of alloys
removing the bumpstrip and a full debadge

I however have no idea what to do with the engine with it being a diesel, have heard suggestions of induction kits, replacement panel filters, remaps, decats and new exhausts, but just gonna take my time and play it by ear, will have some new pics tomorrow once I've got it home

    Current List of planned mods:

    Interior
Painting of centre console, steering wheel surround and glove box - burnt orange
    new stereo
    replace cigarette lighter
    replace gaiter and gearknob
    replace front seats
    purchase seatbelt shoulder pads

    Exterior
    Replacement SXI or SRI Alloys
    Debadge
    Debumpstrip
    replace bumper grille
    replace lower grille
    replace front tyres

    Engine
    Replacement backbox

yeah, I've been reading it, I want to try and keep it fairly standard so am debating just going with a replacement panel filter, plus it will need a new backbox in 6 months or so which will be an ideal time to change it for an aftermarket

It's an easy way to mod really, just upgrade things as they need changing.

Neon pink would look good with the colour of your car. not very original i know, but it will look good.

yeah, but I don't think it would do much for my street cred being a guy and all lol

Ask somebody to get some photoshops done for you in various colours.

thanks Tomush, I've been looking at your thread quite a bit, don't think i'll go to those sorts of lengths but you never know. And yeah 11 years, not needed a car for the past 4 years because of living in the city, before then it was either hire cars or company cars or my mum's battered old nissan vanette lol
