Do I need a rear wiper for MOT?

Didnt really know where to post this but I managed to break the adapter while changing the rear blade the other day and cant be assed sorting it so I'm thinking of de-wipering it, will this still pass the MOT? isnt it illegal to have a defective wiper? Thanks in advance

Doesn't need a wiper to pass, it can't be defective if it isn't there

Rear wiper isn't part of the MOT so it won't fail if it's removed or not working.

I took mine off just before the bad weather started. Worst decision of my life.

I like my rear wiper. Wouldn't be able to see out back a lot without it. Does use s lot of wash to get cleaned though and dribbles which can leave a streak which is annoying but think its because SXI spoiler has a hidden jet under a flap?!
Do think its ugly though

With miles I do and salt i think ild be lost without mine. Or get more used to side mirrors

I've only driven one car without one, it was horrible - reversing out of my drive I couldn't see anything. It's surprising how much you need it at this time of year.

Maybe try not using it for a while, see how you get on? That way you can make a decision

Well its been out of action for a while but it seems more practicle to keep it

Might remove mines. Rear washer jet doesn't work and with limo tint on the back window i can't see much this time of year anyway
