Ideas for the Saxo?

As some of you know - I've ordered a new car. It'll be here in a few months assuming no delays

Basically it will leave me having the Saxo as a spare car - it's not really worth selling so I had originally planned to scrap it, however I wondered about using it as a track car or something as it's pretty quick due to being small and light, does anyone have any ideas on other uses?

What would be needed to make the car 'track ready'? Just for a bit of fun/hobby, not serious racing.

You could use it for that rallycross thing Hammond did pretty well with a Saxo

You could use it for banger racing i have a speedway near me and see quite a few saxos being used there

Trackdays?

Just make sure its well serviced.

Id use it for sprints and hillclimbing myself. Just bought a nova shell myself to build up for next years season

It's been poorly maintained, I wouldn't expect it to last long but that's fine really.

Not heard of autograss before, and not buying a car for the purpose, it was just due to having a spare car not worth selling soonish

Breaking is too much hassle, plus I don't want the hassle of sorting stuff I've sold that breaks

Put some decent cams in, full supersprint exhaust and manifold, one of those enclosed type 106gti filter things then map it and strip it out and also upgrade the suspension then it will go like **** lol my old vts had Kent cams and a few other mods and that was quick
(for a saxo anyway) then just take it to trackdays etc

Stock airbox on those ftw, mine lost 5bhp running one of those enclosed filters! cams, manifold and a map 150bhp+. I'd leave the lump alone and Spend dollars on the suspension and sign up to a track day
