    Can door card fabric be painted?

    Hi all, can't find a set of door cards at all in any of the scrap yards that are for manual. Would rather not convert to electric as just more costs.

    Is it possible to spray die the fabric on the trims?

    If so I can get a god awful red card and dye it black and will dye my other side

    Anyone seen this done?

    i would get another cheap door card and experiment personally

      The red one that I saw on eBay is awful though lol. If I was to buy one I want to be in pairs. And either blue black or grey.

      Might just have to buy the ugly red one for 24quid delivered but hope a pair of black or grey or a blue turns up.

        Why not get the red one and then just swap the plastics? On my old Astra, I did this and the fabric part was held in with glue like rivets on the back.

          I think it's glued behind the grab handle so would end up breaking the new handle I think to get it off. Might buy the red one and live with it lol

            you could always just go to the frabic store and get what you wanted, rip old fabric off and glue new one on?

              I think its fused in the platic weld out the back. Could cut it out and glue and try it. Nothing to loose if I get the red card lol..

                  Yes you can paint the fabric, Autoglym do a black fabric paint - used it on my parcel shelf and got a really good finish.
