They're good in the dry too. They'll wear quickly if you're constantly taking them round a track, but for normal use they're good.
I have the RainExpert 2 all round on my MX5 (didn't make the RainSport 3 in the size I needed) and the car grips so well in the wet. Put a couple of RainSport 3s on the front of Soph's D and it's loads better.

Depends on what budget you have and if you want top of the range or mid range. Mid range the ones you have said will be fine, same with the rainsports. Personally though Ive always liked Bridgestone potenza's. They're expensive though.

I tend to stick to Toyo. Had them on the Corsa and got them on the MR2 now. They wear faster than most, but they're cheap for the amount of grip they have so its forgivable.
They're not great in the wet, but not to the point of being dangerous, just don't drive like a knob and they're spot on.
