Instead of ruining Dave's thread I thought I'd start a new one as I would like to know a few things about a trip to ring

Firstly, what sort of route do you take to get there?

What sort of things do you need to comply with road laws of other countries?

I understand you need separate insurance to go on track but are you covered on your UK insurance to drive in other countries or is that up to your current insurer?

Are the autobahns cool as fvck?

What would be a good amount of time to put aside for the whole trip?

Any other advice would be great

My guess would be channel tunnel to Belgium then drive on through to the ring.

France require two breathalysers plus other stuff like hi viz jacket etc.

I'm sure you can imagine what the autobahn is like, it's a motorway after all.

European cover will depend on your insurer, I know Admiral provide 90 days free cover.

Anyone from the North can get a ferry from Hull to either Rotterdam or Zebrugge which would cut out all the driving across the UK.
