          ^^ this
And it wasn't even the Lambo's fault tbh.

            Definitely not the lambos fault.

The lambo looked like it was going faster than 30mph

'Looks' isn't an accurate way of judging speed though Tam. As there's no way of proving the speed, the only 100% fact is that the Mazda pulled out on it.

You can prove the speed by measuring the distance the vehicle traveled and the time the vehicle took to travel it.
Doesn't usually happen for most accidents but they might check because of the costs involved with this claim and the amount of publicity it's got.

Either way, whether he was speeding or not, speed wasn't the cause of the crash, so surely it's irrelevant?

Exactly, it was the lambos lane, no matter the situation the car pulling out is crossing into that lane, and the onus is in hat car to make sure it's clear. Insurance will favour the lambo for sure.

I can't believe how high it went, needs more downforce?

That's what happens when you buy cheap nasty foreign cars.

                            A. They are hard to see
                            B. They fall to bits

It depends. There was a case a while ago where a cyclist ran a red light and a car ran into them. The cyclist was seen as 70% at fault for going through a red light, but the motorist was deemed 30% at fault (IIRC) because they were speeding and never checked for people going through the red light.
Judges decisions and insurance decisions are usually pretty different. I imagine the Mazda's insurance will try and fight it due to the costs involved if they just simply pay out. Most of the time, it's not worth the gamble because the time and effort of taking it to court would cost more than the payout, but not in this case.
