Been looking at this which is near my work. Wanting to go diesel to save on fuel costs and something that's bigger without bumping up my insurance costs.
Just a moment.../price-from/1000/postcode/ts37rz/page/1/make/vauxhall/fuel-type/diesel?logcode=p]Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTi 16V SRi [100] 5dr [Exterior Pack]
It's been serviced 5 times in almost 9 years and doesn't look like it's been serviced recently as per Nibnob's post.
There should be better deals for that price range.

A good low mileage older shaped Astra with the DTi engine would be better for you i think.
Can get good ones for much less money and less expensive to fix when things go wrong.
MPG is probably out the window on nicer looking one's though.
They are many engines available, which is the best or isnt it as simple as that? - smaller is best for eco/insurance I gather, but dont want anything slower then my petrol 1.2
I'm looking but slim pickings. Vectras are way cheaper but fly the insurance right up. I want MPG and not to bump insurance up if can be helped.
Around the 80k mileage are they due a load of work?
Don't want to buy someone knackered but never had a diesel.
Why the 150? Will be higher insurance bracket won't it? Also link isn't working for me.
Because 150 is a bigger number than 109 and everyone knows bigger is better.
Also my vectra was cheap to insure, which engine are you basing it on?

I've been aiming for lowest mileage possible, is this wrong?
99k no biggie so long as fully serviced /looked after /younger?

Did a quote on the vectra and if dropping down to TPFT its just a little more then what Im paying with Admiral, so maybe a Vectra is the possiblity again - would much prefer one, but it doesnt elimate finding a decent/reliable one and anything regarding engines.
Just had another look online
Some of the DTi range did have a dual mass flywheel and some of the CDTi range didn't have it.
Basically you want to find the models that didn't have a DMF. Search the type of engine and year and car online to see if they have one or not before considering buying.
This seems cheap, Just a moment.../make/vauxhall/price-to/4000/fuel-type/diesel/radius/25/maximum-mileage/up_to_90000_miles/price-from/2000/postcode/ts37rz/page/1/model/vectra?logcode=p]Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi [120] 5dr
I'm now looking at Vectra's again it seems, I tried to work out online if it had a DMF - this has been for sale for about a month as I remember seeing it, would are your thoughts on this?
