  • Parking fine help

I got a parking fine whilst my mrs was giving birth so I couldn't get out to pay the meter, I had paid 3 tickets before hand as they only last a maximum of 4hours, anyway I got a ticket a hour and half before my daughter was born (my mrs was pushing 2hours)

I can't email of my phone for some reason so my mrs mam emailed them blah blah and they asked for a bit of proof (we told them we had all times etc which we did)

Anyway we haven't had chance to email all the details to them (we do have the correct stuff and I have found 2 of the tickets from that day and have a letter from doctors stating time of birth)

But, I now have a letter saying because I havent been in touch then I am no longer able to make a formal complaint :/ and the fine has gone from 50quid to 75 which I refuse to pay

Is there anyway I can get out of it I will try ring them tomorrow but what else can I do?

It's a fine from council as well

Tl;dr, got a fine don't want to pay it

    Thanks

Just follow the appeal process, I'm guessing it's a hospital car park therefore they should expect things like this to happen.

It's kind of a hospital car park but it isn't, if that makes sense lol

It's a car park over the road from the hospital but it's one used by people visiting the hospital so they should expect these things, going tI rung them at 1pm

How can you not have the chance to email them? It takes two seconds. Sounds like you just forgot or left it too late. Can't really blame them for you being inefficient if that's the case.

I don't think CorsaEdi has a PC to email them across.

Managed to get his girlfriend's mum to send an email the first time. I find it hard to believe someone wouldn't be able to find access to send an email, even if it's just a favour from a friend or something. You could fairly easily find a way nowadays.

Maybe it was because they were asking for documents to be emailed across.
If that happened to me i'd be in trouble because i don't own or know anyone who has a scanner for these things these days.

OT - But I am sure your local library will have one and it'll cost something like 30p to do it and they'll help you with any problems

Can take a photo and upload to photobucket or similar, don't need a scanner.

it would take 2 seconds if I had internet access, so how's that my fault for being insufficient?

they sent the first email for me but they have moved house (lost internet connection) I have helped them move so haven't had any time to go elsewhere to email

Nibnob your posts lately make you look a cvnt, never helpful and always trying to find a way to make it look like the poster hasn't tried to help them selves, I see this a lot on Vegas post's

Have they offered you an alternative option to respond to other than just email?

Your problem is you have let it go past the appeal time length, I think it's going to be a case of this being a life lesson and to cough up the fine.

Well on the ticket it says if I want to contest I need to send an email but when I rang today the woman told me I could of posted a letter, which would of been great but I didn't see that and just got a email sent to them

She said I could post the stuff off and see what they say which I will be doing in morning
