Climate change is bad for most life on this planet
To slow down it's effects we need to cut pollution.
Due to this the EU has set pollution targets that can't be exceeded to it's members, so governments are clutching at straws on how to cut it down.
Sadly this will be negligible on the grand scale of things until other countries like China start to participate more in cutting pollution.

Don't get me started on the myth that is climate change.

Well Tim, if you don't think it's a real thing you're welcome to write a scientific paper explaining why, submit it for peer review and prove the other 97% of scientists who support it wrong.

              I know.
I've a bad habit of not doing what people ask me to do though.

Besides he said not to get him started on the myth that is climate change. I'm talking about the fact of climate change, not the myth.

Let's keep this one on topic.

This is flawed since the more beef we eat the more we need and therefore more methane

I think it is on topic Tim.
The article you linked to states the reason the 60mph speed limit is to reduce pollution, and we need to reduce pollution because of EU set targets.
If we don't, then we either need to leave the EU or incur a large fine, or else find other ways to drastically cut pollution to meet the EU targets

Leave the EU would be my solution to that problem.

They do that crap in france sometimes. they lower the speed limit on the motorways thinking its gonna make a damn difference...it doesn't the damn cars are still there.

They honestly think that a car sitting at 4000 rpm puts out SO MUCH MORE POLLUTION then a car sitting at 3750rpm constantly. if they really wanna lower pollution then make better cars, limit certan plates to be on the road each day
