  • Radio controlled boat

I'm after a (new, not used) radio controlled boat for my boy - nothing that breaks the bank but I don't want it to be rubbish either. I've seen some come with chargers that don't cut out when the battery is charged, I don't want one like that.

Any recommendations? It'll just be used in the local pond so nothing choppy.

Don't go for nitro they take quite a bit of tlc to keep running well, not something a young kid wants to do I'm guessing, electric can be just as quick and works straight out the box

I'd be maintaining it, I loved my old nitro, electric is dull

That's alright then, but electric being dull isn't true, electric can be just as fast if not faster

I'm not targetting fast, more that he can learn about how it works etc at the same time, plus maintenance

Go for a brushless motor and a good quality lipo pack and electric will be just as fast as nitro and 99% less hassle.
