    [RESOLVED] New Noise when revving/acc

Just started an hour ago, when I start car it sounds different, when I rev it sounds different and the same when I am on the road.

Cars starting to piss me off but cant afford another right now.

I have uploaded a video, it sounds like its from engine but sounds more exhaust related (sound effect wise).

Here is video, sounds quiet in the video. I'll try look into this more and maybe get another video if this is no use.

Oh it's obvious now. It's the exhaust. Its rattling at the back and sound is escaping under the car somewhere. Havnt hit anything so wtf.
Sounds awful and stuck at work. Need to know if its worn out or come loose. If its come loose ill put money on it been done when I got my tracking rechecked...

Well, rang Kwik Fit and said that I suspect it was damaged by them on the ramp yesterday as it was fine until I took it there. Took it to York Kwik fit near my work who advised depending if its just the backbox / front end its 80-200. I asked if they could tell if it was damaged or wear and tear and they advised that they cant see any impact on the box, and if so it would be from the rear. Sure i heard a clang and saw the guy reverse and retry when using the ramp yesterday.

I cant prove it, but what are the chances of an exhaust just going pop and sounding like ball bearings are rolling around the backbox all of a sudden without some sort of impact?

i smashed my backbox into pretty much every bump in the road for a year and a half on my brocade sport. It never broke it. I really doubt one low speed tap on a ramp would suddenly destroy it's innards. I mean, you hit it more than that when you actually fit the backbox onto the car, lol.

Shop around old mate, - Quick Fit tend to quote a price which then gradually increases as the work progresses.
Quite often your local garage will at least equal them in price and possibly fit better quality systems.

    Regards.

I was over the barrel as thought they had knackered it and only place I could find short notice near my work.

Safe to say near 190 was spent because the middle section also needed doing as it was corroded Wounded, but suppose its a new shiny piece of metal.

    [Resolved] Anyhow
