    Credit/finance for a washer dryer

Hello basically I moved home sort of recently and I have been using the laundry room at the old flat I can't do that anymore so I need to get a washing machine and a dryer but only have room for 1

I don't know where to start I thought I could get a 0% credit card i did.a soft credit check from money supermarket and tha said I'd be 20-40% chance of getting one but I really need a washer but I don't really know what's options are I'm not going to bright house and paying 1500 for a 300 apliance

For now you could use a laundrette, and you can often find second hand ones, maybe even free - try Gumtree or Freecycle (is that what it's called?)

Applying for credit and getting refused goes against your credit rating IIRC so I wouldn't apply if you were unlikely to get it...

No need for brand new. As JT said for now use a launderette

Gumtree and check the local free ads for something. If buying new, just get a cheapie one but extend the warranty a bit. Did an extra year on mine, had it fixed in no time.

If you paid back wonga on time, it probably helped credit history. If you didn't you're pretty ****ed

If you haven't missed a payment I doubt it would affect any rating, having a job won't really help as it's new so you can't show the income etc anyway. Just make sure all bills are paid when they should be and your rating will sort itself out (I've been working on mine for a while...)

Definitely look at the second hand/free stuff. I'm not sure if combi washer/driers use condensers or need a pipe out the window - worth checking as if you need a pipe and don't run it you'll end up with dampness (and I'm not talking about the good kind)

    Extending is fine.
Aslong as you didn't miss it.

I bought my iPad from currys. On their finance thing. Was over 10
Months. It's like 6 a month interest. Haven't missed any payments, and all paid off after 2 more payments.

Wonga loans negatively affect your credit rating.

Look on eBay for a second hand washer and then buy a washing line and pegs.

Washer dryers are notoriously unreliable and expensive to fix. I'd buy a washer with a good spin speed which will get clothes much drier and then dry on a line or rack.

^ what he said. Invest in the things you can hook over radiators to dry clothes as well.

I used to shower with my clothes for nearly 18month then ring and dry on line or heaters. It's **** but I waited and saved for bog standard washer and drier new for like 400 special offer. Free cycle you can request but at least around here demand for free washers is high. Lines and heaters in winter save leccy and old ones use more. Washer and line good half measure.

Put drier on top of washer lol.
    Avoid ****house

When your skint you are easily robbed by dicks like wonga. ****house etc. Don't fall for any traps like that and hang in there

Bingo get that with extended warranty so they have to fix that ****

Its worth holding out to buy that for 150 then borrowing any money or means to get it right away.
