    router/phone connection drama llama.

    right. bought 2 of these:
    MEDIONĀ® E4002 (MD 98388)

    really good phones. like awesome for $149 (£120) but...

    the fiuckers wont connect to my router. the phone says press router button but it doesnt have one? its a 2 year old belkin one. is it that my router is too old? or that im missing something?

    Don't use WPS. Just make a WiFi profile?

    It's asking you to set up the connection to the router via a method called WPS. On routers that use it, it makes stuff really easy.
    You don't need to use that method though if your router doesn't have it.

    If you know the WiFi password to the router (sometimes on a sticker on the bottom) then there should be a way to manually set the phone up to connect via that. Check Youtube or Google for "WiFi set up" and your phone model and should get you sorted.

    dave, tried that, i turn the wifi on, and it doesnt give me the scan option. thourughly confused. yet min eautoconnected to works wifi this morning....

    could it be my router?

    You can usually disable WPS in the router itself, what router is it??

    Disable WPS in router and see if you can create WiFi profiles or disable WPS use in phone although its usually at router end

    sorted it. the router was too old. 2.5 yrs. upgraded to new router = all good.
